I lost my SD card where I installed some programs and now I can't uninstall them off my computer and I need more space for school stuff. My parents are really mad at me...What should I do??

It says when I try to uninstall:
"[Program Name] is not a valid short file name."
"The folder path 'Plugin Manager' contains an invalid character."
"Fatal error during installation"

Ummmm lets see...I tried to go to Search>>and delete all the files, but it didnt work. Also to Run and delete files. I'm trying to delete Quicktime and Skype

what you can do, (not suggesting this, unless it's your last option)

go into C:/ Program Files (or wherever its saved to)

and delete the skype and quicktime folders,

they dont take as much space as you think

how about moving photos or music onto an external drive.

download 'Handy uninstaller' its a good small program which usually gets rid of the programs u normally cant uninstall by the usual way. run it and it will give u a list o everything installed on ur PC. locate sky etc and uninstall from there.

and wats so wrong with skype and quick time? i mean its not like they take up 60gb each. or maybe you have like 60GB of total space on your PC, then maybe thats why they would be mad.

you have to format it.

format it, that should erase everything.

my computer>right click on sd card and click format

or go to tools>folder option>view(tab) and select the thing that says "do not show hidden folders and files" that may help maybe if the files were meant 2 b invisible.

Hope it helps
