So I recently just installed a new graphic card (GeForce GTX 970) which I upgraded from AMD (which I uninstalled the drivers for).
Now, the fans are running just fine, I hear a beep when turning on the computer, and everything just seems fine... Until. I try to install nvidia drivers (with the CD that came with the card), but when I run the setup I get an error at ''systemcheck'' and it says ''This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware''...
I got a windows update where it installed intel drivers.
And when I got to device management, it says I have ''Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000'' for some reason?? I have no idea what is happening, I've searched around on the interwebs, but I haven't found a thing :/

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers from NVidia? Because by the time drivers are packaged on a CD, they are way out of date. NVidia releases updates every month.

Are you plugged into the DVI connector on the new card or perhaps one that might be built into your motherboard with on on board Intel HD chip?

If you want the graphics card to be the primary display device, the only connection should be from the card to the monitor.

you need to disable on board graphics in the bios or make the PCI card the default for graphics
