I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000. The mouse was working until the mouse wheel started acting up. On some programs I have to scroll a load of times for it to work and it is very bugging me. I had to do what about 3 scrolls to do a short scroll? I don't know the problem?

Also this person said that installing Microsoft Intellipoint should work...
Do any of you agree?

possible, but unlikely, dirt/dust/debris is physically inhibiting the wheel. high air pressure directly into the crevice to see if improves

Don't Worry, the scroll bug in many Microsoft Mouse Devices is a common problem that is solved easily!

The Problem:

Many Microsoft Mouse Devices have a "High Definition Scroll Wheel", and many programs don't supports that feature, that's why there is a scroll bug in many programs.

The Solution:

Download the last driver for your Microsoft Mouse Device, that's all.

In your case for your Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000 download the "Mouse and Keyboard Center 2.2" software that fix the problem.

(Make sure you choose your right Windows Version)

I don't know. I have a wireless Microsoft 1000 programmable

keyboard and it came with a Microsoft 2000 wireless mouse

It did the same thing. So now I am still using my keyboard

but I am using a RDM wireless mouse. And I got an install disc

with my programmable Keyboard and mouse. It installed

Microsoft Intellipoint. and then the mouse wheel still stopped

working. So, I don't know what to tell you. But, my keyboard

stills works really good.
