Yes, they do sell DVD +/- R RW CD R/RW in all in one combo's, In fact it is more difficult to find a new CD Media Burner that does Not support all modes than to find one that does. There are many brands and they almost all have in the Name DVD R/RW +/-, and or Double Layer, CD R/RW, when you go to purchase one simply read the features of the drive from the box, As long as it lists in any order DVD R/RW +/-, Double Layer or DL, CD R/RW then it will support all of the features you want/need.

NO...dual layer means that you can use - / + on either.. DVD has its own.. CD has its own.. You can PLAY CD's on a DVD but not the other way round. You cannot burn CD's on DVD. or vise versa.
