I have a new Dell Desktop PC, when I open my windows I don't need a sign in or password, you just get whatever web you want without having to sign in. My old PC always made me sign in before I could open my windows. I have tried everything tp get them to let me make a new sign and password. I can't use my old sign in or password because it bypassses all sign in window with microsoft.

Other two members who answered offer good advice, and in addition, Dell offers good support -- e-mail or chat. Dell also has a Community Forum where you get help from other Dell users. Suggest you join.

Before you go to support.Dell.com have the serial number and express code of your PC, sales slip, customer number. It helps speed thing up a bit.

you do not need to create a user name and password. If you choose to go to start, settings, control panel, user accounts. You can create or edit a user account from there
