how to remove pen-drive safely from usb port in win 98.?

in win xp there is two arrow in the system tray where we can click & stop pen-drive & then can remove it from usb port, but in win 98 i could not find any thing in the system tray

That functionality is not included within windows 98. I guess you just have to pull your pen drive out. I know that's not really 'safely removing' the hardware, but there seems to be no option on windows 98. Just close out the removable drive and wait for few seconds before removing the pen drive.



However, i would suggest with windows 98 as far as possible you remove the pen drive only after shutting the system down after finishing your work. That way it'll be 'safe' for sure.

On your mouse Left click - My Computer

- click Properties

- click tab Device Manager

- click the usb device and click the command button Remove

thoroughly get rid of hardware icon disappears from the equipment tray.Pulling out the USB/Pen force isn't counseled in one in all those case because it could practice to be risky for the existence of your USB/Pen force.
