I'm on an Intel D945GCF motherboard, and I have 3 GB or DDR2 ram. I have read it's a memory problem, and as I changed a memory setting in my BIOS that would make sense. I don't see any display either. Just three beeps, pressing any keys on the board doesn't do a thing either.

You need to clear the BIOS if I understand correctly that this happened immediately after you changed some memory settings in the BIOS.

Do a search on the Internet for the manual for this board if you do not have it already. In the manual, there will be instructions on how to reset the BIOS.

Follow the instructions EXACTLY. Do not diviate from them. This should allow you to power up. It should give you a message that lets you get into the BIOS to customize it.

Do NOT customize the memory unless you are very knowlegable at it. It is not something to mess with for the uninformed. You have already found that out.

According to Intel's beep codes it is indeed a memory code. If you have 3 different sticks of RAM, try just one at a time, it is possible that you have a bad stick. Make sure you place it in DIMM1, it will be labeled on the board if you look closely.

unplug the system, remove the battery and wait about 15 minutes for the BIOS to reset to the defaults. Also verify that the video card (if not using the built-in) is plugged in all the way.

just restart, hit del when reboot to enter bios. select option that sounds to reset bios configuration.

otherway if u cant even start the comp, find the bios jumper. its usually located near battery. short the middle pin to the normally-unused pin. then set back the jumper into normal place. remove battery will avoid the board guarantee.

Three beeps usually indicates a video error (because that's the only way to warn you OF a video problem)

Maybe you nudged the video card a bit?

I need to know the manufacturer of your bios before i can tell you what the 3 beeps mean.
