What is a " Bluetooth dongle " used for ? . It plugs into a USB socket on my PC. Thanks for any answers !

It enables you PC to have a Bluetooth. For example if you have a Bluetooth enabled cellphone you can transfer pictures from and to the cellphone.

If you plug it into your computer and your phone has blutooth than you can send stuff from your computer to your phone via bluetooth.
