Question:
How to use your Phone as an Bluetooth Adapter for pc?

I've seen discussions on how to use your
android phone as several different things,
ranging from a wireless hotspot to a
keyboard/mouse. There are instructions all
over on how to tether your phone to use it as
a wireless modem, but I've never seen
mention on whether or not it was possible to
use an android phone as a USB bluetooth
adapter.

My Android phone is bluetooth enabled, but
neither of my laptops are. Is there any way to
use the phone as a bluetooth adapter when
connected to the laptop via the USB cable
(giving the laptop bluetooth capabilities)?

I know I can always just buy an adapter from
the store, but I wanted to see if this was a
possibility first. Thanks in advance for any help.

A computer without Bluetooth can be connected to a phone with Bluetooth using the USB cable. Essentially the phone will be acting as a Bluetooth adapter. You may need separate drivers for this. You can transfer files from this setup to another Bluetooth device.

To go on the internet though you will need a Internet Service active on the phone and you should be able to use the phone as a tethered device.

I had an old Nokia 6682 (I also had Nokia PC Suite software installed on the computer) that I used like this to go on the internet, before they (AT&T) blocked the sockets.

If you have a bluetooth installed in ur PC, you can very well pair ur sony with ur PC and use it as a remote controller. But if u dont have a bluetooth, get a BT dongle, then it should work fine.

I'm pretty sure this isn't possible as the bluetooth in your phone is simply to your phone only. An adapter for your computer is your next idea but if you're bluetoothing files or documents to your phone to your computer, you can bluetooth it to your phone and then plug it in to your computer and then get the files from your phone on your computer.

Other than that, it's an adapter
