Which graphic card is better, ........?

If you are a gamer I would suggest going with the 8600GT.

It has all the stuff any high-end game would ask for: Quantum Effects, HDR Lighting, A Lumenex Engine.



In the other hand, if you're just a normal user, that might watch some HD movies (Or blue ray), and has an Operating system with Eyecandy and the like. . .I would go with 8500GT. You would save yourself some money, and you don't really need all the stuff that the 8600 GT offers. Even if you do play some games, here and there, the 8500 GT is very good.



Overall: Both the 8500 GT and 8600 GT are really good. If you get the 7600 Gt you will regret it.. trust me. .

The Geforce 8500GT if you want to do things like hook your TV and your Computer up to each other.



The Nvidia Geforce 8600GT is about three times as good as the 8500 at some qualities. It is over 6 months old but not over a year old (atleast that's what it looks like where I am checking) so it may still have some problems. I think the 8600GT has 4 out of 4 and 5 out of 5 by users and it's no surprize with all it's extras.



So you want the 8600GT



I would get the 8500GT to make sure all the bugs were worked out myself but you won't notice or care and they probably can fix those things in updates.

1) The Nvidia 7600 is one generation old and while it is an OK card, why buy old technology when it is the same price (or more) than the newer technology.



2) The Nvidia 8500 is fine for watching movies (makes them look good) and has enough power to get many games going on medium settings. But $99 seems steep. I got mine for $31 and am auctioning it on Ebay. I'd expect it to be about $50-70 not close to $100.



3) The Nvidia 8600 has everything the 8500 has plus some more power. Probably about 30% more power. A little better for games, but you still shouldn't expect high settings on newer games.



IF you have a good power supply, fair sized case and good cooling fans I would suggest an ATI 2900GT. It is much faster than the 8600GT (probaby up to 50% faster) and sells for about $120 at www.newegg.com



If your power supply is not that great I would go with the Nvidia 8500 because it uses less power---but please try and get a cheaper price on it

both are in or around your price range but the pro is much better and free shipping for 160 one has a 256 bit interface the other has a 512 bit interface and both are better than both those cards
