Alright, I went to the store and bought some ram today and I want to verify that it will work before I open up the package and install it.
I know that I need pc2700 ddr 184 pin dimm. this is exactly what it says on the package that I got " 512 mb pc3200 ddr dt desktop 3200/2700 pc400/333 184 pin dimm" I assume this means all those types are supported ? I asked the guy there and H e said this would work so, will it?

most likely. you also have to look out for the speed. some motherboards will support different speeds. most will support 800, but there are alot of variations such as 533, etc. the one you have looks like its 400/333. most likely it'll work.

Yes it will work. They only thing that matters is the pin and DDR (example DDR, DDR2, DDR3)

The PC2700 is the fastest it will work. Your computer holds PC2700 and the stick(s) you bought are 2700/3200. Your only as strong as your weakest link, but yes, it will work.

yes

since your frontside bus speed is 333mhz

if you had a 400 mhz fsb, the memory would be a pc3200

the 2700 is the max burst speed on the 333 mhz fsb bus

the 3200 is the same for the 400 mhz fsb

Yes, it will work. But if you have any question, make sure the store will give you a refund should you return it.
