I may suggest a few or several thing if you want to optimize your pc. Keep note though that i wouldn't suggest putting a lot of money as it is like what you've indicated, old. Okay, i did a search on any systems under that name, and based on the information provided, i'm sure that it's possible to add both components. The HDD wouldn't be a problem at all, just try to be familiar with the insides of a pc. It's rather easy and simple to learn. Now back to the subject, you'll need to determine the amount of RAM and how many memory modules installed on your system. Ther specifications for the maximum amount of memory supported for that system is 2GB, with the motherboard having 2 memory slots. Check and make sure if you do this upgrade to make sure that there's an empty, or an available slot as there are only 2 with a maximum of 2GB. And try to determine the type, and speed of the module or modules currently installed. You can do this by looking at the label on the installed memory module. It would have the the words starting with PC on it. For example: PC2-5300, PC2-6400. That would be the type you'd want to get when you decide to buy one. Or better yet, take it with you to the store to show them, but be careful in handling them because the are ESD sensitive or electro-static sensitive devices. I'll refer you to a link with the specifications for that particular model. You can check on the information about anything you would want to know about your system. And last, about the HDD, the type installed would most likely be a PATA drive, or a parallel ATA. The ere are 2 connections to it, one power wire, and one data cable. If it's PATA, it should have a flat or ribbon type cable attatched. Usually you can add another one with no problem at all. And installing that is pretty easy, so if you buy one, just follow the instructions. Well i hope this helped.

Okay, for Hard Drives, try buying a kit that increases it. This will include a cloning software and a big hard drive. You can copy the contents of your drives to it and change. Search for a CNet TV video about it. Don't worry, it's there and I have seen it. Search, don't be a couch potato.
For more RAM, go to http://www.crucial.com/ which has all kinds of details about all your problems about memory. They also sell RAM and storage devices like key drives, hard disks etc.

You can put more hard drives. Check what space there is and what connections are provided. eg. SATA or PATA.
That model can take up to 2GB ram in two slots.

It depends on the kind of motherboard you have in your computer. And, if still have available slots in it.
