Question:
Kensington Mouse not working?
2014-02-13 02:24:49 UTC
Hello there
I seem to have a problem relating to my "Kensington Ergonomic Wireless Mouse". It was just working fine one day and then it all of a sudden stops working. My computer is definitely a VAIO Fit 14. It have noticed that I accidentally "broken" the mouse USB port. One day I dropped my PC and the port popped open with all it's mechanical parts out. I simply put it back in and sealed the cover and it started working again, but that was almost a month ago. I tried replacing the batteries but it doesn't help at all. I tried the little button that on the USB port which is suppose to do something called "connect" (which I have no idea what it does) but still doesn't work. I tried restarting, replugging it, scanning the PC, trying the Device Manager and fiddling with the Human Interface thingy. Please help!
If anyone is wondering, this is the full report of my system:

Before you go hunting and doing full system installs. Try a restoration point if setup. Look for a date range prior to your issue.

If it still fails. Do you have a second system you can access. Try checking if this mouse works in that system. If the fault continues then you know the mouse is faulty. If not you can then start doing a drive reinstall.

Try a different mousing surface...if you are on a single color I think optical mice can be slightly screwy. If that doesn't work just contact the company you bought it from or get an RMA from Kensington.
