You can't uninstall Windows. The only way to get rid of one Windows is to reformat your drive and install Windows 98 after you have formatted it. I assume that you have Windows 95 now, if that is what the computer came with it is likely too old to support Windows XP. I would say Windows 98 or 2000 is your best bet.

the best way to replace a SO, is formatting and starting from 0...when you overwrite is a headache..
