You can't see the folders in the external hard disk, right? This is virus. There is a software called unhide.exe You can download it from softpedia.com When u download, read how to use it properly. After using it, u wil see ur folders and files. Now delete the shortcut icon and virus file. Run unhide on all drives by putting drive letters in the program one by one. All autorun.inf files are not necessarily virus. Some program has autorun.inf files. U should to check it to make sure they are not virus. Also, u should download and install software called usbvaccine. It vaccinates your computer and removal media against autorun.inf virus. It wil create an autorun.inf file in all ur computer drives and removal media. This is to prevent autorun.inf virus. This autorun.inf file size is 16kb. This is not virus even if ur antivirus programs wil flag it as virus. U should learn virus troubleshooting before u face problem. This way, u r able to help others and yourself too when there are problems.

USB is the technique via which thepersistent connects/communicates including your computing device. USB = familiar serial bus. maximum exterior drives on the marketplace (inexpensive ones) are USB drives. There are different varieties of "connections" you will have for an externalpersistent - alongside with SCSI. this could require a definite interface be further on your computing device, as maximum own desktops have not got an SCSI interface. the different factor approximately an externalpersistent is that could desire to be what human beings call a thumbpersistent. that's purely a small gizmo regarding the dimensions of a pocket knife that plugs into your USB port. they are frequently approximately 512Mb to a number of Gb in means, require no exterior potential and are great for shifting information between desktops. the bigger 80Gb+ USB drives require potential (A/C) and function a rotating disc interior. those are great for storing a variety of information - like photographs/track etc.

to avoid autio insert notification.....

fit a windows boot CD

turn off the pc

fit the drive

turn on the drive

turn on the pc and boot the windows command prompt using the CD

NOT THE HARD DRIVE OF THE PC

at the command prompt

change drives to the USB drive

eg

G:\

when on the drive

ATTRIB *.* -R

ATTRIB *.* -H

list the files on the drive

delete the virus/infected files

your drive is probably ok now, so long as your pc does not have malware.
