What you describe is type of not plausible to do in spite of the undeniable fact that it might want to be finished. you won't be able to quite erase all drives with one click of the mouse so it took countless attempt. you've to truly flow to countless worry to erase both drives. be positive you haven't only did not get the exterior force to mount propely. perchance your records isn't relly erased? if you're positive the exterior force is fixed ideal and it truly is erased, contact a computing device save and ask them what they could can charge to apply a knowledge restoration software that would discover deleted records. If the cost is outrageous, purchase an software your self which will do it for this celebration or perhaps the subsequent time your mouse is going loopy and clicks on too many erase concepts. all those purposes value 50-2 hundred money on a bootable CD (gained't might want to boot to it in case you opt to verify only the exterior force). it might want to discover all of your records or decrease than 1/2. Even after a format, records might want to nevertheless be discovered so do not imagine too many sturdy or undesirable concepts yet. in the destiny, make 2 copies of all significant records and three copies of all significant records. attempt to be in a position to purchase yet another exterior force for fifty-one hundred money that would want to carry 2-30 Gb of records.

You CAN NOT just pull a usb device out and put it back in and it works, NEVER NEVER pull a usb device out, ALL usb devices need to be closed down the right way, your data will still be on the stick

you did not say what operating system your using. to get your data off the drive do this

close the computer down ((((( with out the device being plugged in ))))

(1) plug the stick in the usb port

(2) boot the computer up

(3) when windows boots up you should see the usb stick

If you don't know how to close down a usb device down then leave it in till you shut down the computer, but learn how to close them down or you will loose your data
