If i buy a wacom Intuos4 from japan, will it work when i get back to thailand? The box had "We support japanese OS only" on them, do they mean they only work on japanese OS, or does it mean they only give troubleshooting service for japanese OS.

Here's the story.

I'm in japan for a short holiday, and leaving in a few days,

yesterday i wanted to buy a 1TB harddisk for 5000Yen and an intuos 4 wacom tablet, the wacom was almost half price from thailand

the shop sellers were nice enough to point to a small "we support japanese os only" sign/label, so i had believed that somehow the harddisk works for japanese operating systems only. after pondering that for a while, i found it really absurd, so i googled, and found that the harddisk of a similar brand works.

However, i could not find anything on the wacom.
So, if purchased the tablet:
will it be fully functional with the english windows?
will the display/screens on the wacom be in english?
will i be able to update drivers?
What are the drawbacks, are there different versions for different continents?

Thankyou very much!

The hardware should be capable of running under a different language, though you may run into some glitches with drivers. I had a Japanese version of the older Wacom Graphire USB which I ran on English XP Pro, and everything was flawless except for some of the hotbuttons being a pain to map.

If this presents an issue, you should be able to load the Japanese language packs to Windows.

Ask them to install a japanese os selecting english as the interface language. if they can the tablet will run on that os and the hard drive will hold the os and store memory like any hard drive.

you will need the right power cord with an "adapter" for the power outlets in Thailand and for your home country.

the word support on the box tells me that the computer will not run in windows. but it is possible to select interface languages for most os so pick english.

To update drivers you will need the exact number of the motherboard.

I went to china about 6 months ago,

didnt buy even 1 thing. Everything was low quality and EVERYTHING WAS A FAKE.

So i didnt buy nothing and went to malaysia for and purchased HDD's from there.

Be careful in japan, dont get fooled and buy cheap quality products which are fake and probably will last about a week or so before they stop functioning.

flow to the positioning mick gave you - and choose the residing house windows 7 version (32 bit or sixty 4 bit) you're working. That you would be able to set up. (in case you % the incorrect one, you will basically get an errors message that it is the incorrect one. Then get carry of the different one.)
