Question:
HOW TO USE A 3.5 INCH HDD THROUGH USB, WITHOUT EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE?

I had an internal 3.5 inch HDD im my computer, which i now want to use externally.
I thought of buying an adapter(casing) which converts it to be used externally.
But i found only casings which come along with external power adapters for the 3.5 inch HDDs, whereas 2.5 inch HDDs did not require external Hdds.
I know that a USB can only supply 5 volts of power, but can you please tell me a method for this?!

It is not possible to power SATA without a SATA power connector. It is possible to use a SATA to Molex to DC but that is the only way.

However, you can buy a kit which will include only the SATA data to USB as well as a SATA power to wall outlet

Or, you could run the SATA power cable from your computer's power to the HDD but that would defeat the purpose

Also another factor to think about is that most HDDs will Read/Write at 60MB/s or above

But, the max Read/Write for USB 2.0 Full speed is 20MB/s (most common) or if you have a newer/better motherboard USB 2.0 High Speed is 45MB/s or if you have a fancier even newer motherboard then USB 3.0 High Speed would be okay but much more expensive.

So if you converted your HDD to and external USB drive, it'd be most likely capped to 1/3 or its original speed.. quite slow

Not possible. You need an external power source. All HDD require external power.

you're able to desire to objective the report bypass Wizard, yet the two computers opt for which you would be able to be logged on. incredibly, the records could be encrypted and could desire to now not artwork no count in case you eliminate the HDD and bypass it into an enclosure. To sum up, in case you forgot the password, you're S.O.L.
