I do know about computers but not a lot that's why i need you!!

I have a P4M800PRO-M (V2.0) and it has a APG slot which i think is(Accelerated Graphics Port) and 3 PCI 32 bit add-on card slot.
Quote from the manual"The Apg slot is sed to install a graphics adapter that supports the 8X/4X APG specification. It is APG 3.0 compliant."

The PCI slots on this board are PCI v2.2 compliant.

Other than that i need some experienced help,Oh!! and i need it to be a plug and play type of card, unless the installation is easy!!

hey,

well basically you dont need our help youve done it already.!!!

an AGP is a faster bus than a PCI bus....thereforan AGP card will outperform a PCI one.

there are different versions of an AGP slot. there are 1x,2x,4x,8x.

your manual already told you what type you have which is 4X/8X slot.

all you need to do now is go online and find a AGP video card.

go to www.tigerdirect.com and see if there's anything you like.

a note about graphic cards.

these work using their own memory- they got their own so the higher the memory the better the card will perform.

i will recommend this card for you. it's not a high performance gaming card but it will definitely allow you to improve system performance without breaking your wallet

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1739479&CatId=933

if you want to choose a card for yourself here's a listing of all AGP video cards on tigerdirect

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=318&name=AGP&

REMEMBER: the cheaper you go the cheaper the card is and the cheaper the card is the less performance you'll get from it....

all cards are plug and play. what you do is you turn off your computer, unplug everything from it, and open it up. ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface like your casing for about 5 secs.

unpack your card, find the AGP slot, remove the filler bracket from your computer casing so that the back of the card can extend outside the casing.

next firmly push your card into the slot and make sure it's properly seated. screw the card down using the screw you got when you removed the filler bracket.

take a look here for pics and detailed instructions

http://www.helpwithpcs.com/upgrading/install-video-card-agp.htm

http://www.build-your-own-computers.com/how-to-install-an-agp-graphics-card.html

also take a look at this video

http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&q=how+to+install+an+AGP+card&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&resnum=4&ct=title#

note you do NOT need to remove the old video card or driver. if youre replacing the AGP card when you remove the card the driver will be gone also.

close up your computer and attach back everything.

note your monitor will now plug onto the card instead of where it normally plugs on.

start up your computer...once you can see your desktop you know the card has been installed sucessfully...yes it will look really big and weird and have no colours. you need to install the driver to make the card work.

they usually give you a cd that comes with the card. put this cd into your computer and it will autorun and follow the instructions to install the driver.

there you go !!!

Take the PCI card. The guy on top is an idiot if he thinks AGP is better than PCI.
