Does anyone know a way to get my Microsoft Remote Keyboard for XP Media Center to work on XP Professional?

i'm running a desktop with Windows XP Media Edition and a laptop with Windows sp2 Professional and switching with a KVM controller. But my keyboard is a Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition. Can anyone tell me how to make this work for my Windows XP Professional Laptop?

XP MCE is virtually identical to XP Pro. I suggest that you post to th Microsoft Windows XP newsgroup. You're more likely to find someone who can help in this specialized forum.

The microsoft keyboard expects you to use it on a real MPC which as the IR transmitter/reciever built in and doesnt come with one. MPC is xp so I don't see why it wouldn't work if your laptop has IR build in. If not then I suggest using a third party mpc keyboard which comes with an IR reciever.
