I recently asked the question concerning icons, and recieved some good answears. I was told to use the keyboard button with the mouse pointer on it. But when use that button on a desktop, or quick launch icon it brings up the desktop menu, not the specfic icon's menu. Feed back will be appreciated !

In theory you could run Windows without a mouse provided that you can remember all the shortcuts. Let's start at the beginning:

Ctrl + Esc will bring up the start menu and then you can use the curser key to navigate up the menu and press the Enter key to select a menu item.

Short cuts are only part of the non-mouse method or running Windows, you also have to use the Tab and Enter keys as well.

In order for the Application key to bring up the icon's context menu, the icon has to have the system focus.

To give the desktop icon focus you can either left-click it or use the Windows+M combination to minimize everything and then use the arrow keys to navigate to your icon. Then hit the Application key and you should be good to go!
