You can see picture here (scroll down to Video Card Interfaces):

AGP slots are usually dark grey or Brown, and located a little to the right of the back of the case, while PCI-E are white and located closer to the back of the case.

But best way of course is to know name and model of your motherboard. If you can open your case look at the model name on the motherboard itself, it's usually marked in large letters between PCI slots. But you can also check motherboard name directly from Windows (if you are running that OS) by Clicking Start -> Run and then type msinfo32 and hit enter. Look for System Model on the first page of System Summary. Once you have it, google it and check for specs.

The slots will be different sizes. If you take a look at the picture I linked below, you'll see that the AGP slot is a little shorter and is offset a little bit. Additionally, if you look at the text printed on the motherboard directly above the slot, you'll see AGP 1 (above the slot on the left side). Looking at the white slots, you'll see them labeled in a similar fashion with PCI 1 and PCI 2. PCIE slots should be labeled in a similar fashion. Most motherboards label the slots similar to the picture so just look out for those labels and you should be all set.

Your gadget might run slightly speedier with a sixty 4 bit os yet, there are nonetheless some courses and, gadgets which will in basic terms artwork with a 32 bit os. i've got been working XP sixty 4 for a while now. the only concern i've got particularly encountered is with my instant adaptor.

Open your case, and look at the slots.
