It should be under your Realtek HD audio manager under digital output, make sure thats set as your default output, not your 3.5mm jacks.

The only surround sound that a TV will output via optical cable is stuff it gets through the antenna. In other words, you can't plug your cable box, PS3, etc. into the TV with HDMI cables and expect to pass the surround sound audio out from the TV. In order to get surround sound from such external devices you must send the audio directly from those devices to your surround sound system.

Go to Control Panel
Double click Click Realtek HD
Click Audio/IO Tab
Choose 5.1 Surround.
Or ...
Go to control panel
double click sounds and audio devices
click 'Audio' tab
click the advanced button beside audio output
choose "5.1 surround" from the drop down menu
click 'apply'
click the "Voice" tab.
click the advanced button,
choose "5.1 surround." from the drop down menu
click okay.
~Hope this helps~
