It should work fine as long as your Motherboard has a PCI Express x16 Port, and you have a sufficient power supply, about 450+ Watts.

Check if your motherboard has any of these (The larger ones): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fc/PCIExpress.jpg

Edit: make sure you get the Latest Drivers from AMD!

5770 HD is very good graphic card

it will work fine as long as ur motherboard has PCI Express slot , open ur case and check out ur motherboard or check motherboard's manual for that

but considering ur Core 2 Duo of 2.2 GHz , i will not recommend going for such costly card ,

i will say get something around 5000 Rs , don't spend too much if u r going to stick with ur Core 2 Duo only for 1 year or so

if u r thinking abt an processor upgrade in less than 6 months , then 5770 HD makes sence

i will get 5570 HD (4200 Rs) , or GT 240 (4500 Rs) ,

I have been given a Geforce Galaxy 220 on particular for a hundred and the capacity grant for a a hundred at suited purchase, your motherboard might desire to have a PCI-show slot for it. in case you like greater help and in line with danger a photo or 2, be happy to shoot me a e mail.
