Your computer's power supply should be able to handle that card, considering you have a quad core with 6 gb ram. PCI-E is just a slot on your computer.

Here's a picture (the x16 one)

You really need to post what your motherboard has for available slots. You seem to have a more up to date modern computer, so I am going to assume you have a PCI-E slot. Open your case and look at the board. There sould be a few 1/2 wide by @ 6" long slots. White is usually PCI. Blue is PCI-E or AGP. Black/brown is usually PCI-Ex16. Do a google search on pci-e photos and it will give you a better idea what you are looking for. If $150 is your max, I recommend a Nvidia GS260 or a ATI Radeon HD 4850. The ATI card was on sale at Best Buy the other day for $80. With your price range, you can buy two cards and connect them together to utilize their CrossFireX technology. It will give you the power of two cards and 1gig of memory. That is what I have im my system and I can run everything at max settings, including Crysis, Far Cry 2, and Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. Good luck, but you really need to know what you can install in your computer before you start buying! I would also recommend checking out newegg.com and do some research. They have the best prices around and most of their cards have mail in rebates or free shipping. Just make sure you know what you really want so your not returning stuff.

I had about the same budget. I went to tigerdirect and got a GeForce 9800 GT. Very good price/performance. Be sure to have enough power for it though. Do u know how much power your power supply gives off? If u have a 400W-500W u should be ok but make sure it has a pci power connector for it. If u don't have a good enough power supply i would suggest a GeForce 9600.

Any more questions u can email me and i will be glad to help :D

For those kinds of specs you should have a pci-e 16x port. I'm guessing you bought your computer from a vendor, try to find it and post a link to just make sure you do.

I'll give you a price range:

$120 - Radeon HD 4850 1GB:

$155 after rebate ($185) - GeForce GTX 260 896MB

$150 after rebate ($160) - Radeon HD 4870 1GB

Here's a link to show all the fps for each game (higher is better)

GTX 260 is the best but cost more.

Edit: If you want dual cards you have to have 2 Pci-express ports a pci-e 16x and a pci-e 8x. I still wouldn't recommend getting 2 4650's though you just don't get a good performance to cost ratio as you would 1 card that cost the same as both of them together. If your going to spend ~200 bucks go with a 4850 x2 2 gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102809&Tpk=4850%20x2

The best value for money and performance deal for your config will be a ATI 4870x2. (It does not need SLI enabled motherboard). You can also check out nVidia GTX 280 or ATI 4890. (GTX 295 is the ultimate monster currently, but that is not very good value for money).

Get a Corsair ultimate 1kW PSU. Your rig deserves it.
