Iomega 500gb external drive or LaCie F.A. Porsche 500 GB external drive, which is more reliable?

I am thinking about purchasing an external drive but i am stuck between these two:

Basically I just need a drive with a proven track record of reliability. In other words, no dying in two months. Speed is not much of an issue as it's just necessary to probably stream video or music off of it and file storage. The emphasis is on reliability. Also if someone has a larger picture of the Iomega drive so I can get a better look at it, I would be grateful.

I would put little store in how old the company is. Iomega was started in 1980, LaCie in 1987.

Personally, I have used products from both companies and they have both always performed well. But that was ages ago, and we are talking Zip drivers and little hard drives.



These days, they both probably use internal drives from the same crap factories that churn out Maxtor and other useless junk.
