Your computer uses DDR Sdram memory. This memory stick has 184 pins, or 'fingers' on the bottom. It operates at 266MHz,(266 Megahertz. Approximately 266 million cycles per second) Each ram 'stick' is 256 Megabytes in size. It takes 4 of these 'sticks' to equal 1 GB,(Gigabyte. 1024 MB=1GB.) The ram you purchased, DDR2 has 240 pins, or 'fingers' on the bottom. It operates at 667MHz. It's 2 Gigabyte in size,(amount) I suggest you return the ram you bought. Put the old ram back in.
