Video RAM has nothing to do with system RAM. The only thing you have to think about with the video card is what type of slot it uses -- for example, PCI-E . If you get a PCI-E card make sure your computer has a PCI-E video slot. (Sometimes called PCI-X to confuse newbies even more) Your video card has a GPU to control its own RAM seperately and independantly. Its almost like another computer inside your computer. Type of RAM your video card uses doesn't matter, but of course more is faster because it can collect and hold bigger amounts of data.

Your motherboard determines what DDR you need to use. some help one among those DDR, older ones in basic terms help DDR etc. yet even older motherboards in basic terms help SDRAM in the two the device RAM and photos RAM.

No, you can use a video card with ddr3 memory as long as your motherboard supports it. The video card memory ddr, ddr2, ddr3 is just that = the speed of your video card. I hope this helped. Good luck on your new video card!

The ram of the video card has nothing to do with the system ram. you could have DDR system ram and "G" DDR5 video ram

I'm not sure what you mean by this question.

Memory is defined by DDR, but in numbers. DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5. The higher the number, the faster it can process memory.

In your situation, you're asking me do I buy a DDR video card. Every video card is DDR, it just depends on whether it's DDR2, DDR3, or DDR4, or so on.
