You load the info u want from your PC at home and take it to work to load on your PC there. My husband uses his ipod as a storage device.I travel a lot so I have an 80gig hard drive inside a Luxon USB SATA 3.5"external HDD enclosure storing all my info And when I need to retrieve it i just connect it to my laptop. It works really well for me Because I don't clog up space on my laptop so it keeps working at optimum level provided of course i do the standard maintenance.
