no you cant, you need an installation CD

if you want to know why, its because if you use an usb it would work since in the process it deletes the necessary files to run it, that's why you cant run it from there.

burnt it in a CD/DVD

If its a USB 2.0 difficult stress the examine and Write velocity would be 2 sluggish for it to be any use. Your speaking a pair of flow fee of 20 mb from a USB difficult stress. while in comparison with a 150mb on a common platter stress interior the computing device. remember a USB isn't twin Channelled meaning, it could no longer examine and write on the comparable speeds. so the bandwidth gets shrink in a million/2. Thats 10mb examine and write. Thats a HUGEEE difference in velocity, and your rather going to be stricken by it. the only exception being in case you had USB 3.0 with a USB stable State stress with a examine and write of 512mb/s. this is an extremely high priced decision. So in any different case I recommend you do no longer bypass any extra.

If you have the installation files on USB drive then you should insert it on your pc and run the setup.exe file. Follow the steps and the OS will be installed. The only important thing is the installation files. If it don't work from USB drive then copy installation files from USB drive to PC drive and it will work.

Certain varieties of Linux (I believe Ubuntu is the main example) can be loaded from a USB drive.

Microsoft-based OS cannot; a USB port is managed by a windows process using a windows based interface. Since windows won't be running, there will be ni way to get to the USB to read the files.
