1.

right click on My Computer -> Properties and under General tab, note the Ram size.

restart ur pc. press Del to go to Bios option(if u have never been to the Bios option before, turn off ur pc, then turn it on, and keep pressing or tapping the Delete button as soon as u press the power button of ur pc to turn it on). Check all the tabs n sub tabs, somewhere there will be AGP Aperture size. reduce that to the minimum possible(try pressing Page up or page down button if u have difficulty in decreasing the size). save ur settings and exit (u can also press F10 to save and exit). system will restart. after system restart right click on My Computer -> Properties and under General tab note the Ram size. now the ram size should have increased if u have done it right.

in case ur system doesnt boot (which is very unusual), go to Bios settings again and undo wat ever changes u have done.

2.

Another way to increase ur PC performance is by dissabling unnecessary visuals.

to do that Right Click My Computer -> Properties, go to the Advanced tab. now under the "Performance" block click "Settings". Now Performance Options window will open. in that select "Adjust for best performance" and click OK.

u can do both to get better performance or just do ne 1 or none. upto u. i recommend both or atleast step 2 for better performance. and to disable ur shared memory ofcourse u have to do step 1.

If the performance was fine to start with, the shared memory is unlikely to be the problem. You probably need to disable some startup services from programs you have installed since getting the computer or do some maintenance. Try these links:

Also, if the computer is a proprietary one such as Dell, Acer, etc., (or you know it came bundled with shareware programs and such like) look at this thread:

can't be completed. 256 is the entire quantity of committed memory available on the cardboard(HARDWARE clever). You equipment won't use committed memory as shared because of the fact it is going to starve the the photos card, as a substitute it is going to the two use distinctive shared memory equipped onto the cardboard or scouse borrow it out of your equipment ram.
