hi there

this is a common problem and seems to be a problem within windows... however my first recommendaton would be a pretty simple one... try running a system restore to a point before you started decorating ( since it was obviously working ok then )

i wouldnt normally recommend a system restore however this is a situation were this could actually work since during a "system restore " windows will reload previous settings which are working ok and in theory your usb devices should work ok

i presume you moved your pc when decorating.. so you may also want to physically inspect the whole computer and check for any loose wires or connections .... you should also check for any damage to usb ports such as bent connectors.....

another quick fix is to change around the way your usb devices are plugged in... sometimes something as simple as this can actually work... one of my many pc,s wont boot unless i remove any external hard drives or memory sticks... and the other will only boot when the mouse and keyboard are plugged in specific usb ports

its also a concern to discover your touchscreen is also not working.... which says to me something happened when you moved the pc during decorating ......

so if the above does not work then it does look like a trip to the local pc technician... or if your pc is still under warranty return it back under the warranty......

so in summary... check all the pc for any loose connections or wires and use a low powered vaccum to clean any dust and dirt ....and try a system restore if possible

i hope this helps, any questions let me know

good luck !

Most electrical goods come with a 1 year warranty as standard. Without physically seeing this problem and taking a look, it is very difficult to diagnose, so I would say send it back to whoever you bought it off and have them fix it for free.

If not possible, I would say a driver problem, if you are not tech savy then find someone to help.

Find the make and model of the manufacturer and go online to their site. Its usually under support or download. use a serial number or match the PC model and look for USB drivers.

Any local tech store, curry's, pc world, have an IT section that will fix things for you. For a price...

how previous is this pc? no matter if that is operating USB a million.0 then it gained't paintings with new USB instruments that use USB 2.0 - in case you'll hit upon an previous USB gadget (regularly a small memory stick or MP3 participant below 1GB) and that works, then factor is proved.

Call the seller / mfg tech support!! 0844 5610000 They are familiar with your unique system.

Don't connect the touchscreen (you don't need it if you have a mouse).

Then try the touchscreen w/o the mouse.

Take it back where you got it.

Try all usb sockets (desktop back and front) (mac both ports) etc.

If not find a new driver online for it and download it, the driver may be out of day and incompatible.
